About your job
In this position, you’re responsible for developing and executing a clear product vision and strategy for the digital service & automation product line. You lead and develop the product management team, including product managers, specialists and UX designers, as well as cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations. Collaborating closely with engineering, marketing, sales and customer support teams, you ensure successful product launches and ongoing product success. You monitor product performance, gather customer feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
You manage the entire product lifecycle from conception to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. By conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, you define product requirements and create detailed roadmaps. You prioritize features based on business value and customer feedback, as well as ensuring efficient processes and tools for portfolio planning and management. Your mission
In this position, you manage and participate in cross-functional development projects, all the way from idea to product launch. Your main focus is to invent or identify technical concepts, convert those concepts into products, and validate the products either in lab environment or by trials at customer site. You collaborate with other functions, such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Product Support, both in the context of development projects, and as part of daily engineering tasks.
Wear Protection often faces complex challenges related to extreme operating conditions and you play a key role in developing wear-resistant solutions that add true value to our customers. This requires a good understanding of the features of different wear materials, and how they fit into different customer applications. It’s also crucial to also understand our manufacturing processes, to make smart and cost-efficient design choices.
For this job you’re based in Svedala, Sweden. However, we offer you a hybrid working location where you have the opportunity to work from home or other location a couple of days a week. Travelling to visit factories and customers worldwide is included in your job to some extent.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. You have a solid understanding of the R&D process, generic engineering principles and the manufacturing processes we use, which include rubber compression molding, polyurethane open cast molding, metal casting, machining, and steel fabrication. Demonstrated proficiency in CAD, preferably SolidWorks, and knowledge of engineering simulation software like Magmasoft, as well as Teamcenter PLM, are considered a plus. A strong knowledge in metal casting process will capture our attention. As our Competence Center is based in Sweden and we operate globally, you need good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

Your profile

Your character

I rollen som Valideringsingenjör på Luftfartsverket kommer du bland annat att arbeta med verifiering och integrering i olika testmiljöer. Ditt uppdrag innebär ett nära samarbete med andra medarbetare på IT-avdelningen, projektledare samt tillsammans med andra valideringsingenjörer och tjänsten innebär att du driver processer från kravspecifikationer till validering och lösning. Du måste alltså kunna yrket redan då det inte finns någon här som har tid/möjlighet att utbilda dig. Vi är 2 personer som idag lägger några timmar i veckan på detta men har en enorm lista på produkter i kö för utveckling och behöver kunnig hjälp.

Om du jobbat som produktutvecklare eller flavourist och nu är pensionerad och saknar skapandet är detta något för dig. Eller jobbar deltid eller söker arbete.

Du kan själv bestämma tider och komma och jobba när det passar. Du kan jobba allt från några timmar per vecka och uppåt.

De färdiga produkterna har du sedan glädjen att se säljas på alla kontinenter.

Du arbetar självständigt, planerar och driver utvecklingen framåt. Det är mycket viktigt att vara noggrann och självgående.

Your new team
SMR and SRP Patents is an international team of patent managers, patent attorneys, patent engineers and patent administrators, dealing with cutting-edge innovation from SMR and SRP Businesses. We are a diverse and highly skilled team located in eight different countries on three continents, and we protect inventions by patent applications and prosecute the applications to relevant patents for the business. Working alongside other teams at Sandvik, we use and enforce these rights. We support the different product areas of SMR and SRP’s global business. We are now looking for an experienced Patent Attorney to strengthen our team.
Your role
This is the best place to be for an IP professional, as you work with all patent matters – from inventions to enforcement. In this role, you support business in rock processing divisions of SRP and other relevant areas. You provide a wide range of IPR support to our business, including involvement in R&D projects, handling inventions, making searches, coordinating drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications, patent attorney work towards the patent offices, strategic patent portfolio management and dealing with contentious matters. Your responsibilities also include continuous process improvements to protect and enforce the IP rights within your area.
You will report to the Patent Manager and be based in Svedala or Malmo (Hyllie) in Sweden.
Your character
You are a patent professional with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through teamwork in challenging projects and in an international environment. You are open-minded and have extensive experience in patent matters, and a M.Sc. or D.Sc. degree in a relevant technical or scientific area. Experience in patent matters in mechanical engineering is essential. The professional qualifications of a European Patent Attorney are required.
