Within Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions, we’re passionate about development and new technology - we make the shift and advance the world through our engineering. Always aiming to offer the best possible experience for our customers is a mission that takes commitment, but as an industry leader we settle for nothing less than excellence in everything we do. We’re now looking for a Wear Parts and Screening Media Manager to lead a competent team within our R&D department. This team doesn’t only provide the right products, but also have an array of service offerings to optimize the entire crushing circuit, help solve problems, and raise profits.
Welcome to join a place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation – a place where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering technology meets the core of manufacturing.
So, who are we looking for?
As much as we value your curiosity and passion for driving change, you need a couple of years’ experience from working as a manager within R&D, preferably in a global setting. Your leadership style is characterized by empowering your team and bringing structure, and as a doer you thrive being operative as well. Creativity and your ability to generate business focused ideas are of great importance, and we expect commitment to the digital transformation we’re going through. Also, you have a university degree within Materials or Mechanics, and it’s a good thing if you understand the production processes related to casting. As you'll be part of an international team, we naturally see that you’re well prepared for cultural differences and that you comfortably communicate in English, while skills in Swedish may be beneficial.
Let’s talk about the job
This is a quite operative manager role where you get to coach a small team of specialists with the mission to keep on developing our wear parts and screening media. The team is always your priority, and you make sure to create a setting where everyone gets the opportunity to focus on their job and grow in their profession, while you address the challenges thrown upon the team and figure out how to utilize our resources the best way possible. You’re a strong and active member of the R&D Management team, which is very engaged in change and improvement of our ways of working, and you’re working closely with the Research & Technology department and different product teams to create synergies and take us to the next level.
This position is based at our headquarters in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across the train station.
