To Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology and our R&D Research and Technology department, we’re now looking for a Crushing Specialist with a knack for rocks and stones. Do you want to take on a unique opportunity to become an expert within the area of mining and rock technology, in a place where you get to push your ideas and methodology forward and create something real? What you actually do?
In this role, you truly are the expert in your field! To understand what we can do to get the absolute best crushers, you contribute by carefully studying the crushing materials from the rocks in our crushing process.
With your competence you take on our challenges and spot holes in our portfolio and, by suggesting a suitable technology study – that you also perform – you fill those holes and continuously improve our knowledge about the materials. Visiting our customers and performing measurements, developing new concepts and assisting with counseling are important parts of your mission. In close collaboration with competent R&D colleagues you evaluate the information that comes from DEM simulations and testing of rock materials to further develop this area. You’re happy to share your skills with others, and by doing so you increase knowledge around the company. Together with brilliant minds all over the world you pave the way for an exciting future!
You’re located in Svedala and to occasionally visit customers and your specialist colleagues is a natural part of your job.
We´re looking for you...
…with a PhD in a relevant area, such as Mining or Rock Engineering. You have a genuine passion to investigate what happens with the materials that enters and exits our crushers and you want to dig deep into thoroughly understand the mechanics and physics of this material – making it possible for us to optimize the design and processes for our crushers. You really thrive in an environment where your findings can be applicable in the real world. Acting in a global organization calls for excellent English skills, verbally and in writing.
You’re a force to be reckon with! You’re very independent and enjoy driving your own work forward, while at the same time you truly believe in collaboration and sharing best practices with others to reach the perfect outcome. Being an excellent and adaptable communicator enables you to report to our stakeholders in ways they understand. Your leading qualities are a perfect asset when you have to convince both colleagues and stakeholders that your ideas truly are the best way to go!
