At Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP) and the Procurement department within division Stationary Crushing & Screening, we deliver first-class service through collaboration with our extensive global network of suppliers for our production unit in Svedala, as well as our central warehouse for spare parts in the Netherlands.
To strengthen our open-minded and forward-thinking team, we’re now looking for a solution-oriented purchaser to join us as we develop our business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s ready to make a mark in a global organization and enjoys challenges, thriving when having a lot on your plate!

Your mission
In this position, you create a seamless flow for our day-to-day business, ensuring that all purchasing activities in our area – equipment and aftermarket – are fully aligned with our overall strategy. You’re responsible for leading weekly and monthly follow-up meetings with your suppliers, where you focus on optimizing our KPI’s regarding on-time delivery, availability, lead times, forecast planning, inventory levels, buffer stock and capacity. Naturally, you have a tight collaboration with our sourcing team, who negotiate prices and agreements with our suppliers.
Using your excellent communication skills and ability to network, you establish and manage stable relationships and information flows with our suppliers. You also ensure a high level of collaboration with internal stakeholders – departments such as planning & logistics, production, sourcing, warehouses, customer service and lifecycle – in order to reach our goals and grow together.
Other important parts of your mission are:
Manage, monitor and act according to KPI’s and develop action plans to correct gaps and reach
our target.
Develop and execute the purchasing role on daily basis according to our process to fulfill customer demand.
Achieve correct inventory and service level targets.
Implement and execute the best procurement model depending on supplier capabilities.
Give input and participate in updates and changes of our policies and principles.
Lead and participate in purchasing projects and activities.

The location for this position is in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station.

Your character
We’re looking for a purchaser with a bachelor´s degree in logistics, business administration or engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. You have a minimum of three years’ experience in purchasing combined with an understanding of manufacturing and supply for manufacturing. To be successful in this role you need the ability to handle many purchase orders and data and are naturally a proficient user of Excel and PPT. It’s also beneficial if you have proven knowledge of M3, SAP and Power Bi. Working in a global organization calls for efficiency in English, both in verbal and written form.
You’re open-minded and a true team player, although you don’t mind working alone and enjoy an ever-changing environment. You easily establish and build strong networks, and with a structured way of working, you can see both the smaller details and the bigger picture. Your analytical skills are exceptional, and your positivity is a cornerstone of your personality – enabling you to see possibilities instead of problems!
