About your job
In this position, you establish sourcing budgets, plans, policies, systems and procedures to achieve strategic objectives. By identifying, evaluating and capitalizing opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, improve our supplier base and you improve our buying patterns and supply channels. You also work with sustainability to ensure that our sourcing practices meet environmental and ethical standards. You evaluate, negotiate and manage the most complex or strategically important supplier and vendor relationships to secure terms that serve our best interest. To ensure that sourcing activities meet established targets and standards, you lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of professionals.
The location for this position is Svedala and we offer a hybrid work solution.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in strategic procurement on a global or European scale, along with a background as a leader or manager. Experience with SAP is needed, as is proficiency in sustainability reporting standards e.g. SBTI, CBAM, and CSRD. Your expertise is supported by relevant educational qualifications. Working in an international context requires proficiency in English, while fluency in Swedish is highly advantageous.
As a confident leader, you effectively manage internal stakeholders and demonstrate maturity and independence. You’re a strategic thinker who has a high level of integrity, ensuring ethical practices in all sourcing activities.

Are you ready to take on the mission to proactively engage with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver improvement initiatives with focus on availability and inventory balance? Then you might be our next Manager of Operational Procurement at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. With a new business system implemented in the aftermarket business (SAP), instructions, learning and processes need to be developed to define a new and seamless way of working. This is where you come in!
Your mission
You’re overall responsible for our procurement work with a mission to ensure that the day-to-day business runs smoothly, according to defined processes and regulations to meet set KPIs. Helping you achieve this, you have a team of six to eight purchasers - handling a mix of direct and indirect materials, forecasted and purchased-to-order products in a wide product range. This supports both our production unit in Svedala and our aftermarket business with warehouses worldwide.
With a strong commitment to the area, you drive and implement improvements in processes, and ensure alignment with needs and objectives. You’re an active collaborator who maintains great relations with other departments. All in all, you inspire our team to world-class delivery in procurement operations, and you ensure successful future development together with our suppliers.
The location for this position is Svedala and some travel is included in your job.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience gained from a working career. You have a couple of years’ experience from purchasing and supply chain management. Being able to drive and implement improvements in our processes and ways of working are keys to success in this position and we consider any previous work in the matter as highly beneficial. You navigate effortlessly with an interest in different business systems, where skills in M3 or SAP are a plus. As we act locally and in a truly global organization you need to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.
Your personality is equally important to us! You’re an influential and agile leader who utilizes your great management abilities to create environments based on team spirit, inclusion and trust. Driving improvements and making things happen in collaboration with your team and colleagues are natural parts of your character, and you enjoy leading the way and seeing people grow.
